Christmas By The Sea 2019

Are you coming to stay for the Christmas holidays? There’s no better time of the year for a wonderful holiday on the Gold Coast than over the summer school holidays. Not only does the warm weather make it the perfect time for hitting the beach and water parks, but the longer days with extended daylight hours means you can get more out of each day of your stay.

So what’s coming up on the Gold Coast to get excited about over the holiday season? Glad you asked!

Christmas By The Sea

On the 17th of December from 4:40 pm to 7:30 pm you can join in the season's festivities in Palm Beach with Christmas By The Sea. Held in the Palm Beach Parklands on the Gold Coast Highway this is one of the biggest free events to get you in the Christmas spirit on the southern end of the Gold Coast.

Crowds of 5000+ visitors will flock to the Parklands to enjoy a Christmas wonderland with a jumping castle, kids activities such as a craft station to decorate their own Christmas ornament, face painting, a baby animal petting zoo, Santa photos and present toss and more! You can grab an ice block to cool down after all the excitement, and then get ready to sing and dance as the evening's festivities commence.

There will be street food vendors on site, live music and entertainment followed by Christmas carols as the sun sets with all of your favourites to sing along to. To finish off the evening with a bang, there will also be a spectacular fireworks display at 8pm over the ocean for you to enjoy from the sand or your picnic blanket. This is the perfect time for families with kids.

Sandy Feet Santa Photos

For a family photo with Santa that is a little bit different and profits going to a good cause, you might enjoy stopping by the Palm Beach Surf Club on the 7th or 14th of December from 10:30-11:30 am. Meet surfing Santa and grab some fun beach props to create the perfect Gold Coast themed Christmas family photo. Proceeds go to the surf club itself.

Christmas Day at Currumbin Beach Vikings

Looking for somewhere to spend Christmas Day on your Gold Coast stay? Check out Vikings at Currumbin Beach. You can choose from a buffet breakfast or a seafood buffet lunch. With breathtaking views out over the ocean, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a family meal on Christmas day before heading to the beach to make the most of the day.

Whichever way you choose to celebrate the holiday season, you’ll be able to make the most of it with our ideally situated Palm Beach holiday apartments.
